Between Spirit and Silicon is the flagship multimedia transmission of Chagoosh Media. It integrates a 26-year professional legacy with the gritty, authentic narrative of the "Digital Warrior" and the philosophical framework of the "Quantum Cross."
Between Spirit and Silicon is a comprehensive four-volume multimedia transmission that chronicles the unvarnished reality of Indigenous media activism from the 1990s to the present.
Launched under the banner of Chagoosh Media—an enterprise defined by "Empowerment through Innovative Ideas"—this project serves as both a primary historical archive and a visionary manifesto for Indigenous data sovereignty.
Drawing from nearly three decades of labor in the technical trenches, the project documents the "thin crossing" where ancestral memory and fiber-optic code merge. It provides a vital counter-narrative to the "Pretendian" era, offering an authentic, time-stamped account of the early digital frontier from a creator who was actually there— mounting radio antennas atop First Canadian Place and meeting Nelson Mandela in the SkyDome media pit.
● Part II: The Flesh (The Chagoosh Origin Story): An account of childhood and reoccurring visions and recognizing patterns and numbers. The early technical seeds sown before Chris as he shapeshifted across Western Canada eventually the Eastern United States of America with "the only traveling Indian reservation in North America".
● Part III: The Silicon (The Digi-Warrior is born): A red door opens three times and chagoosh blogoosh from a ponytail in the urban mundane merits a new self esteem and ultimate grand vision of the Quantum Cross. Now traveling jet roads in the sky. he would meet the tricksters in the oddest places.
● Part IV: The Medicine (The Greatest Ceremony): Chris get's married to the woman who would save him and get him out of hiatus, The physical reunification of a severed family line involving seven children, proving that while the modems can wait, the family circle is unbroken.
Corporate Context & Authority
As a project of Chagoosh Media, this transmission is backed by a quantified professional legacy:
● Historical Longevity: Registered since 2000, Chagoosh Media has provided IT, web development, and technical direction for major sector nodes including Aboriginal Voices Radio Network, imagineNATIVE , and the Banff Centre.
● Market Validation: The project draws on works like Subway Meditations, which achieved the #1 spot on CBC Zed out of nearly 10,000 global submissions.
● Philosophical Infrastructure: The work is anchored by the Quantum Cross—a
reimagining of binary as zeroes and plus symbols (+), fulfilling the Hopi Prophecy of joining the material and spiritual worlds.
"The ancestors whispered into the fiber-optic cables; Chagoosh Media has decoded the response."
